Brief
Our clients in Epsom, Surrey, approached Paula Morrison Interiors with a vision to transform their dated kitchen into a sophisticated, high-performance culinary space. As avid home cooks, the priority was to maximise workflow and storage without compromising on the elegant aesthetic expected in a premier Surrey home. The goal was to create a seamless blend of functionality and timeless style that would serve as the heart of the home for years to come.
Design Approach
To deliver a truly bespoke kitchen design, we first addressed the spatial limitations of the original layout. Our strategic approach involved structural modification: we blocked an under-utilised second entrance to an adjacent room. This architectural adjustment was a “game-changer,” allowing us to gain significant wall space for additional custom kitchen cabinetry.
By reconfiguring the floor plan, we freed up the side of the kitchen to incorporate expansive premium worktops. This provided our client with the professional-grade prep space she required. The result is a light-filled, ergonomic environment featuring hand-picked materials and a layout optimised for both daily life and high-end entertaining in the heart of Epsom Downs.
