Home Interior Design
For this residential project in the heart of Fulham, South West London, our client required a sophisticated spatial redesign of two key rooms. As the children transitioned into larger bedrooms, the objective was to repurpose the vacated spaces into functional yet elegant areas: a dedicated home office and a multifunctional guest suite.
Our design focuses on maximising the footprint of these classic Fulham properties. In the study – previously a child’s bedroom – we focused on “quiet luxury,” creating an environment conducive to focus. In the guest room, the challenge was to balance hospitality with utility, ensuring the space felt like a premium boutique hotel while providing essential storage for the family’s modern lifestyle.
Our approach as an interior designer in Fulham is always rooted in bespoke craftsmanship. To elevate the study, we commissioned custom wooden joinery and a tailored desk, adding both architectural volume and vital storage. A highlight of this room is the bespoke window seat, designed as a cosy reading nook that cleverly incorporates a hidden wardrobe for seamless clothes storage.
In the second room, we transitioned a dated spare room into a high-end guest suite. The centre-piece is a handcrafted, custom-built joinery unit. This piece was meticulously designed to store board games and media consoles, while doubling as a refreshment station with an integrated coffee machine – perfect for when the room serves as an occasional secondary office. By blending timeless aesthetics with smart spatial planning, we have created two distinct spaces that reflect the refined character of South West London living.
