Fulham, South West London

Brief

This project in Fulham, South West London, had two rooms that needed to be utilised differently. With children transitioning to bigger rooms of the house, one bedroom needed to be used as an office with space for storage, and the other required to function as a guest room and occasional office.

Design Approach

The smallest room, which used to be our client’s daughter’s room, became the study. We designed an office with a bespoke wooden desk and fitted joinery to add elegance, volume, and storage. We squeezed into a bespoke window seat that acted like a reading nook and managed to incorporate a wardrobe for extra clothes storage.
The second room, which was previously used as a spare room, was turned into a proper guest room with a bespoke joinery piece. This custom-built unit was designed to store various items like board games, video consoles and games, guests’ clothes, and a coffee machine when the room is used as an office.
