Creative Spaces for Fun, Study, and Growth

Located in the exclusive Burwood Park Estate in Walton-on-Thames, the brief for this residential project was to transform two standard bedrooms into personalized sanctuaries. Our clients wanted to provide each child with a dedicated environment for both play and focused study, utilizing high-quality, timeless materials that would grow with them. As a specialist in luxury children’s interior design in Surrey, we focused on maximizing floor space while injecting a sense of adventure and personality.

Design Approach

The Daughter’s Room: A Sophisticated Teenage Retreat
The teenage daughter required a transition from a child’s room to a more mature, organized suite. We focused on “hidden” functionality and cosy architectural features:

The Reading Nook: A custom wall structure was built to house a cozy reading nook, providing a quiet escape.
Smart Storage: To maintain a minimalist aesthetic, we designed a bespoke bed with integrated storage and a hidden laundry drawer tucked seamlessly into the cabinetry.
Ambience: Integrated LED shelving and designer wall lights were installed to create a soft, sophisticated atmosphere for evening relaxation.

The Son’s Room: An Adventure-Themed Loft Suite
For our client’s son, the goal was to create a multi-level experience. We designed a bespoke loft bed with a robust solid structure, allowing us to utilize the vertical space of the room.

Study & Play: Underneath the loft bed, we integrated a custom-built desk and bookcase.
The ‘Wow’ Factor: We created a dedicated relaxation zone featuring a hammock—the perfect “fun” element requested in the initial brief.
